This new multimedia learning tool helps papermakers acquire the knowledge and skills they need on Forming, Pressing, and Drying at their convenience. Users report the tool is effective and efficient. It promotes the assimilation of knowledge in a short time, with less disruption of the mill production process.
The eLearning modules are accompanied by a Training Needs Analysis and a Training Fulfillment Analysis. For each of its operators, mills are able to determine which eLearning modules are needed and the skills acquired from the eLearning.
Albany International Corp. has contributed its best practices on Forming, Pressing, and Drying to this project, and HumEng International Inc. has organized and presented the knowledge and skills on a multimedia platform using sound principles of adult education.
